My Cousin Skinny’s roots are based out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and yes, they actually are cousins. Jeff moved down to Raleigh, NC in the spring of 2003 and has never looked back. Fate had it that Mike would move down south in the fall of 2004. Since then, the two have found a great opportunity to return to making music.
Jeff and Mike have each been playing guitar for close to two decades and have done everything from playing acoustic gigs on their own to being in full-piece bands together. Although they love playing in a band, the two decided to simplify and go back to their acoustic guitars. Still, the techniques and styles that they used while playing in a four-piece have carried over to their acoustic music—kind of like they bottled up a full-piece sound and poured it into their acoustic guitars.
