About Dead City Radio

Dead City Radio love weird pop music. So much so that we've been making our own since January, 2004. We've made four recordings: “late nite transmissions” (2004) “the WOW! Signal” (2005) “poprocks + soda = KABOOM!!!” (2006) and Goodbye Confusion - soon to be released in 2008. When Leigh and Neil started the band, they decided on a pop aesthetic, something with hooks, melodies and multiple vocals. It all started out on a couple of acoustic guitars, but when Robert joined slightly later, along with a female singer and keyboard player named “Dave”, the band became a Band. “Dave” left the band, on account of being high-maintenance, and Katie joined. We gigged for a while, then John Daly, a long-standing friend of Neil's, joined to play bass. So it remained for three years. We recorded a lot of stuff and gigged around Glasgow, getting better all the while. John left the band in December 2007, and was replaced by Jamie Sweeney, who plays bass like an intelligent rock demon. And so we go, making eclectic pop music, which has been described in various inventive ways, “chirpy americana fuzz-pop” being our favourite to date. Let us know what you think...

A March In November	Jun 5 2009 6:08 PM Hey hows you? just wanted to mention iam touring all over the UK from september for a year, traveling all over got the first 4 months up and adding more and more to it, the first 3 months is for Busking For Cancer :) in Aid for cancer research, all the shows are free so would be awesome to see you at a show supporting wat im touring for, check out our dates and if we arnt playing in your area then please do let us know cause it is for a FULL year so we wanna get everywhere and anywhere :) also recording new stuff this weekend so new songs will be up :) anyways hoping ur having a good start to the summer. Its going to be my 1st real album and I want it to be bangin and a classic! So I need your help to choose the tracks...
