17th November, 2008 was the day when My Deception celebrated 2 years of existence. A band mainly focused in playing live, and all the pleasure in it. And it was also the only way to show their music. For there was not enough funds/way to record.
In the end of 2006, Pedro “Winter” leaves his first band, due to personal and musical differences amongst the band members, he created a song that would introduce a different mood. (Nightside Dance), and spread it throughout the musicians database he had, searching for people to play it, and the new ideias too. This was supposed to be a side project, but it gained life on its own.
The name was considered due to the deception that life can be. How nothing is what people say it is, there is no devotion, and money is mankind..s true God. The world is heading for a weird path that will lead us to an awfull end…And a tortured existence. The name is like the Da Vinci..s painting, Mona Lisa (Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a Florentine businessman). It is always looking at you.
The band, with different members at the time, started preparing the 5 songs and a cover song from Finnish Poisonblack (Love Infernal), and started playing live in the summer of 2007…(see the flyers section with almost all the gigs). They tried to record these songs right in the end of 2007, but a studio with the wrong ways for this “new age Finnish Goth Rock with metal contours” (we have to find a shorter name!), and a “fellow” band that took money for a bad job not finished (and we are glad for that part!), we lost time...We could only record two songs now. With Sean Rose (from Icon & The BlackRoses and other bands, producer with his studio, and musician in several instruments). His knowledge and support will be forever gratefull and never forgotten!!Check him out!

The band looks for a label/distribuition to spread worldwide or “europeanwide” our first release. And we are open to live proposals.

Olá My Deception, Devo dizer que fiquei fan de MD, para além da simpatia e da humildade do Pedro"Winter", caracteristicas que admiro nos músicos, adorei o concerto de ontem! Bem sei que houve alguns percalços e problemas técnicos, mas a vossa atitude e a beleza dos vossos temas apagou completamente a cena! Eu Adorei, os temas são lindissimos! Continuem!!!
