If you like D.I.Y. Punk where the music is played hard then you..ll love this album by My Doll. They..re a three-piece though don..t expect the sound to be watered down just because they..re female. These women rock hard and Lyrically/vocally they take no prisoners either! Just listen to ..Fuck You You Suck.., ..No One Gives A Fuck.. and ..Deadly Epidemic.. and you..ll know these aren..t no push over. Influenced by the likes of the Exploited, Blitz, Devotchkas and Vice Squad and you can see from there why they play hard. Thirteen tracks in all and everyone of them filled with true D.I.Y. Punk spirit. The Production and packaging are tops and shows that even with D.I.Y Punk values you can put out something that is of good quality. I love My Doll and may they carry on playing for ever! Sadly, all-female bands still have to endure hearing the comparison to male musicians, when it has been proven time and time again that there really is no dividing line due to gender - a good player is a good player, period. Arizonas all girl trio My Doll, who fully embrace and perpetuate the D.I.Y. punk-rock ethic, is another testament to that truth. This 13-song release is nothing but an effort in punk rock destruction - of your senses.
