Sounds Like
" Much touted epic, new-new romantic synth-goth shimmeriness. We like." www.rokpool.com - rokmag *****, "'Dale's Song' bounds across electronic lands of spiky synths and colourful clouds of harmonies whereas 'Stillness' slows right down and loiters in dark watery caves. People who like the madder side of Bowie will revel in the art-school thinking behind this remarkable record. "" Artrocker *****, "this is a great album…The reason this record works, despite the band trying out various beats, sounds and vocal ideas, is because the songs are all reasonably constructed. They aren't experimenting with the concept of a song, just the sounds used to produce it…. One of the greatest successes of this record is Myernark's ability to fold world-rhythms into their music. This gives some of the songs an earthy ethnic feel… this record rather special… This really is a unique album, that certainly deserves critical acclaim.****"The Mag *****, "Verging on the kind of music that sometimes only plays in ones dreams… It's like standing and looking at a piece of art, only to have it walk right out of its frame, you try and move away from it, but only find yourself hooked and entranced by its uniqueness and wonder." Infusedzine *****, "the dreamy and often lustful remainder of the set was just about the only one to fully understand quite how important it is for a live performance to reach out and engage with the audience... they made such a difference from the sapping indie that permeates too much of live music." MLA Movers & Shakers *****, "The electro pop backing is inventive… and the production is excellent… this band could accomplish wonders." ICFQ ***** , "Sounds like the love-child of Julian Cope and early Depeche Mode." SecretDJ *****, "You don't need an art-school education to appreciate it, this is a really quite mesmerizing album." Bubblegum Slut *****, The self-titled debut album Myernark, is available to download from Itunes, Napster, Amazon, Rhapsody, eMusic and Lala! ***
