My Escape Avenue was born by ex-members of bands called Great Guns, Lascivious and Captain in spring 2006 after the breakup of those bands with the goal to make music as friends. No one of them is a virtuoso in playing his instrument but with the energy and feelings expressed by each member, this music gets its own emotional and honest style which you can't describe with just a few words. This is the result of long hours in the rehersal room, with lots of fun and the will to overstep the musical borders of emotional hardcore. It could be defined as a mixture of oldschool hardcore, punk and hitting mosh. MEA recorded a 3 song demo in august 2006 called cutting hope. The Second Demo was recorded in June 2007, also in the rehearsal room like the first one. MEA shared the stage with bands like to kill, strength approach, final prayer, across five aprils and many more. Come out to see MEA live on stage, that's what it's all about!
