if Guided By Voices, Built To Spill, Joy Division, Weezer, early New Order before they got all dancey, Van Halen, Sonic Youth, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, and Broken Social Scene all got into a drunken, debaucherous orgy, they'd probably give birth to somebody we'd be best friends with at summer camp. we'd hate each other at first. but we'd realize our similarities and eventually become awesome BFF's.
Neye Benziyor?
something you've heard before, but with a slightly mintier aftertaste.
A mountaineer, a nanny, a special effects film producer and a dot com slave walk into a bar…or better yet, a dark room in a battered warehouse in the southern outskirts of San Francisco and plug in. The experiment plays well – escapism some may say, or perhaps a true calling...
In 2006, San Francisco’s Good People began hammering away in seclusion, generating its brand of sincere dream pop calling to mind timeless mood heroes Joy Division, Guided by Voices and the Sundays. The quartet made an immediate impact on the Bay Area, playing to packed houses its first handful of shows in the following months.
In 2007, the band retreated to rural Minnesota to record the fruits of their labor. The result was the self-released album "Seeds", five songs that evoke darker, troubled moods underneath catchy and melodic shimmering pop.
