About me:
was in a pop group www.myspace.com/myfavoriteforever am in a pop group www.myspace.com/friendsofthesecrethistory ______________________________________________________________ I grew up on Long Island and spent a decade taking polaroids of ugly things and arranging them until they were beautiful. I was a suedehead repairing the bindings on books at a seaside library. I followed Marcello to Rome, but then tumbled down The Spanish Steps. I threw myself in the Trevi Fountain but am yet to return. I followed Anna Karina to Paris, where she told me it was my life to live. I paid her, but kept my clothes on. I followed The Ghost of Joan of Arc to Rouen where the church was a gift shop, and the gift shop was a church. I followed David Bowie to London, but he ditched me and I spent the rest of my life savings on sushi that came round on a conveyer belt. I got lost in the woods. It was worse than you think. I wrote songs with my best friends and tried to hide them from the rest of the world, but Swedish kids found them. I ended up at the foot of the Hell's Gate Bridge. But now I'm walking on the sunny side of the street, that is when I'm not in shadow. I have a lot of things to say...but you know...it's hard to get the words right...so I go play pool with my accordianist, study baseball statistics at the Taqueria, watch french films, discuss socialism socially, engage in light bible studies. I'm more than open to making new friends/legionairres in the soulful arts...or drifting from bar to bar while waiting for your six part ghost story to unfold. I think there is something we were supposed to do before we lost our memories. www.myhopeandanchor.blogspot.com

love at first sight
may sound trite
but it's true, you know
I could list the details
of everything you ever wore
or said, or how you stood that day
and as we spend the last night
on Maudlin Street

I will be at the show on the 27th, eagerly.
And, as a fellow Music Den employee, even if you don't speak to me, I am sure I will be pleased aurally.
The new works sound great, Michael. And I would expect no less.
I'm forming a band of my own these days, and perhaps we'll have the honor of opening for you at some future date.
I do fully realize anything that has your hand in it will be deemed classic, even if it is not recognized as fully as it should be in it's own time. (ala My Favorite)
Hey, even Picasso, Warhol and Matisse were acknowledged after their deaths...

But, don't die just yet, cult hero, but continue to bring intelligent, brilliant music to us huddled masses. And be sure it is appreciated in the greatest way; it moves our lives, causes thoughts and makes us a bit more introspective..
All in all, immersed in a culture that is purely vapid and obsessed with the lives of talentless celebs, this is a great thing..
In other words; I enjoy your music.
Ramble: over.

I exchanged mix CDs with a fellow who works at one of the local coffee shops I frequent, and walked into the store tonight to hear "Homeless Club Kids" being played over the stereo. It was very surreal and fantastic. The message is being spread...

So I was watching this show on "the N"...{because apparently I'm a 13 year old girl trapped in the body of a 34 year old man}...and I heard a "My Favorite" song playing in the background..."Happiest Days of Our Life"...weird....and strangely comfoting...
