Influences
The environmental crisis, outdated psychological procedures including the lobotomy, 10 years worth of NYTimes articles on global warming, the desire to forget, ecological guilt, a penchant for interdisciplinary multimedia theater with compelling design, blogs, MySpace pages, Richard Simons, dinosaurs, and live music ranging from bluegrass to hip hop.
"My HOT Lobotomy" is an original multidisciplinary theater piece being produced by Z Space Studio at CounterPULSE in San Francisco, CA. The project is currently under top secret development. Please see the website for details. Through the use of comedy and satire, “My HOT Lobotomy” is an investigation into America’s complacency toward issues of climate change and global warming. The piece will examine ideas of collective responsibility and historical legacy in America through a central character that chooses to remove himself from his own memory and critical thought in order to find freedom and happiness through forgetting.
thanks for asking us to join your competition. I don't know if our music is going to suit what you're going for.... and there seems to only be one day left to enter material. But, just know this, if we did enter we would CRUSH the competition... and then we'd eat them.
