   About My Kappa Roots
My parents met at a Birthday party gig in the 1980's.

And I was raised in the Kingdom of Fife.

I mostly appear on stage alone, although on Occasion and On Record I enlist (If they let me) a wonderful collection of people. This backing band I would like to call "My Kappa Roots and the Sound of Music".

If they'd let me.

I have been very privileged to play in the company of the the following people:

Hawk And A Hacksaw, Jack Rose, Chris Corsano, Alasdair Roberts, The Fence Collective, Viking Moses, Elephant Micah and members of the wonderful Fife Kills collective.

You can buy my debut record 'The House of St. Colme Burnt Down' -By clicking on the links below.

"Outstanding...an album I will treasure" - Plenty Side

"Some of the most touching, tender music to be heard in years" 4/5 Sputnickmusic

We are very excited to announce our first 'real world' photograph exhibition at the 13th Note in Glasgow. To launch this exhibition, we are putting on a show on the opening night - the 6th July.
The bands playing are
Tickets are £4 and all profits of the gig will be given to Yorkhill Childrens Foundation.
You can also bring along a mixed cd which you can swap with someone else. Please include a tracklist and have fun with the cover. This is a great opportunity to promote all the bands you love (or your own band) and show your creative side.
Please come along, get some new music & badges, view photos, enjoy amazing bands & say hello. :)

INCLUDING PERFORMANCE FROM 'NO BBQ' (from Australia!)

"A technicolour vortex of strangulated vocals, teeth-mashing chant and DIY trephining matched with some the most beautifully hypnotic noise/drone alchemy." -Volcanic Tongue

The event will be followed by a midnight musical parade in honour of the full moon ending at a secret subterranean location!

hey pablo, how are you doing? anything new album-wise on the horizon? those new tracks sound great, when the reign has been up there for a while though, i need a new kappa fix! st. colme is still more than enough, that album is still hitting me harder with every listen.

you've been getting a bit more buzz round sputnik parts which is awesome, possibly because i recently made staff reviewer so people are now paying attention to what i'm saying. don't stop doing what you're doing, i'd love to hear and review whatever you have coming up so let me know. take care,

matt.
