Sounds Like
Here I am playing with The Grand Marquis waaaay too early in the morning in the hot sun:
Myles Gorham was raised in the Kansas City area, spending his teen years playing blues and rock guitar. He studied at the UMKC Conservatory with mentors such as Bobby Watson and Rod Fleeman while breaking into the local jazz scene. In 2005 Myles moved to New York City to attend The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. During his time there, he studied with world renowned guitarists Peter Bernstein, Jonathan Kreisberg, and Steve Cardenas. He also was involved in New School ensembles led by the likes of Reggie Workman, Charles Tolliver, Doug Weiss, Joe Chambers and many others. While in NYC, Myles played everywhere from the streets and subways to internationally known jazz clubs such as Sweet Rhythm and The Garage. Myles returned to Kansas City in 2008 and joined The Grand Marquis shortly thereafter. He can now be seen playing all over Kansas City and the Midwest with The Grand Marquis and others.
