Lindsay Johnson is a fiery young woman with a passion for life, songwriting, and music. Her lyrics distill the truth of life experiences as she sings about love, determination, hurt, loss, triumph, and other emotionally intense situations. Her clean and clear outlook, approach to life, and appearance, reflect her fresh attitude towards the world and her music. At 22 years of age she is setting the music world on fire with her new sounds and attitude.
During the course of a show, Lindsay switches from the guitar to piano singing out her renditions of Sarah McLachlan to the Beatles, and sharing her originals with her audience. She never fails to offer her audience an envigorating taste of something different. Brooke Banson, the Community Relations Director of the Greenville Barnes and Noble stated after a benefit performance at Barnes and Noble where Lindsay performed her originals, "We had people asking us all day long where they could get her CD and where they could hear her play…" Chris Kellogg of radio station Bob 93.3 also had a lot to say about Lindsay. "She has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard..." Her lyrics never fail to touch people in a way that is unexpected and beautiful.
Lindsay has over 150 copyrighted songs. Her energetic acoustic music and sexy piano tunes can be classified best as a mixture of Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, and the Beatles with an open, emotional twist.
Lindsay currently resides in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she attends the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is graduating May 2008!
