I play the occasional solo gig but mostly I perform in a Duo, or a Trio, or a Quartet. The greatest joy of music is making it happen with other musicians and I've played with some fabulous muso's. The lineup changes depending on the gig requirement [and the budget of course] and the instrumentation can include: Double &/or Electric Bass; Sax or Clarinet; Jazz guitar; Blues Fiddle; BluesHarp; Drums &/or Percussion; Flute. I crossover between acoustic guitar and keyboard.

I've tried lots of different genre's and am guilty of blurring the boundaries between genre's [try a little celtic jazz! or some folk-blues-rock!] ..... but ultimately my forte is Blues/Jazz tinged with a little Contemporary Folk {don't you just HATE being squeezed into one simple pigeonhole?!?!}...........

TOM WAITS' lyrics stir my soul ....I adore his work.................CAROL KING is my hero...she's unstoppable!.......MADELINE PEYROUX's work makes me smile....she's like a fresh sea breeze on a summers day........and the queen - ELLA FITGERALD ... I hold in the highest regard as the icon to aspire towards.

her own unique self........I admire those artists who can and do recreate the sounds of their idol, the great icons............but I don't want to write music like anyone else, and I don't want to sing like somebody else.............I just want to be free to be me...........................................................
