"It all started very innocently," says singer and songwriter Brian Joyce. "My old band B-Side Diaries was on the outs and I was feeling something was lacking. I wanted to get back to the songwriting I had before a band, when I played in my bedroom. At the same time, I was toying with the idea of writing piano rather than the usual guitar songs I did in B-Side Diaries." Brian began writing in his bedroom and eventually recorded a three song demo in the winter of 2003. "There was never any goal, except to write personal music," says Joyce, but when he handed his demo to an A&R Rep from Columbia Records at a songwriter's workshop, he found out just what My Morning Radio would become: a band people could connect to. After a shocking phone call from a major label Rep, stating how impressed he was with his demo, My Morning Radio became more than an idea for singer and songwriter Brian Joyce; it became an entirely new project..... My Morning Radio was named after the writing process that spawned their sound. "As a songwriter, I don't write anything down. So somedays I'll write a whole song and openly forget it by the time I wake up the next morning. Often times I can remember lyrics, but not the melodies. If I wake up with the song in my head I have the song forever, if I don't, it's lost forever..." Hence the name, My Morning Radio..... As a band, My Morning Radio has always followed the motto: "That good music saves lives" In the beginning the goal for My Morning Radio was to give recorded material to artists that saved their lives in an effort to give back to their idols. However, since that time, My Morning Radio has progressed into a working band that is ready to take their music to the next level and hopefully inspire new artists. .... Since their inception, My Morning Radio has played countless shows in the northeast and new england areas in an effort to spread the word about their band. In addition, My Morning Radio has completed many weekend mini-tours up and down the east coast. This past summer, My Morning Radio completed a successful tour out to the mid-west along side Forever In Motion (One Eleven Records)..... Now a one man act, My Morning Radio takes off where the band left off, playing with a sincerity that escapes most artists. Whatever is in store for My Morning Radio one thing is sure, singer & songwriter Brian Joyce will play with the intensity of a man trying to save lives. ........ ..My Morning Radio has shared the stage with notable acts like:....
