My Name 4 Your Name are a Sydney based band with a contemporary melodic rock sound that recalls artists such as Paramore, Kisschasy, Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Eat World. Forming in January 08' They have been making a name for them selves playing along side Trial Kennedy, Stealing O'Neal, Elora Danan and touring extensively throughout QLD, VIC, NSW, SA, and ACT promoting their debut EP "From Lead to Ink".

Frontman and principal songwriter Davey.B began his musical journey as a solo artist, and from an early age he had devoted all the time he had to his study of performance and composition. Following a period of intense songwriting in an isolated residence in the Snowy Mountains, he headed straight for the studio to record what would be the first My Name 4 Your Name demo.

The songs were always intended to be performed by a full band, but it was important that it be with the right musicians. Fortunately, while Davey began jamming with various musicians, fate and circumstance were conspiring to help make MN4YN a reality.

Davey found his second guitarist in long time friend Dana, who had recently parted ways with "Envy Parade". Kurtis (Strong like Sam, Numbers) signed on next as Bassist and the last addition to the band was DJ (Badge of Honor, Background Alley). MN4YN is now stronger than ever and ready to take the stage and take your heart.

In a short time the band has discovered they share much more than just friendship and history. All members have embraced the spirit and direction of the project, bringing their own innovations and influences to the melting pot of ideas. My Name 4 Your Name honors the tried and tested guidelines for great music; strong melody, memorable hooks, and an ability to balance the amazingly powerful with the sublimely subtle.

Good friends and good music make for good times, and these are sure to roll as the band tours nationally for the remainder of the year in support of their new single "You Should Be Medicated!" which will be in stores September 2009.
