Which languages am I fluent in? Well, I would consider myself to be fluent in English, and that's about it. Even then, I still wonder.... =]

My favorite movie is probably "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with Audrey Hepburn. I also like "The Road to Perdition", "MASH", "Crash", "Young Frankenstein", "Angels in America", "Schindler's List", "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (that movie's a classic!). I loved the "Pink Panther" movies; the originals w/ Peter Sellers, he's so hilarious!!! The original "The Omen", "The Exorcist", the original "Halloween". I'm easy when it comes to movies; action, comedy, suspense, thrillers....anything really. O, and I love all martial arts movies especially ones w/ Bruce Lee, he's awesome!!
Television
I don't have time for TV anymore. But, I do occasionaly watch a little bit of 'Smallville', 'The Colbert Report', and 'SNL', or 'Frasier'.
Books
I really like to read (my mum's a librarian, so it comes w/ the territory lol). I just finished reading 'Angels in America by Tony Kushner and I performed a monologue from it. It's an amazing play! Right now I'm reading some poli sci theory books like "Political Liberalism" by John Rawls, "Legal Philosophy" by Altman and some others. Unfortuantely, I really don't have much time to read for pleasure, but that isn't to say these aren't interesting. O, I am in the middle of reading "The World is Flat" by Friedman. I think that's a great read so far. I also liked 'Purgatorio', 'Inferno' and 'Paradiso' (The Divine Comedy) by Dante. My favorite book is probably 'A Tale of Two Cities' by Charles Dickens. Ummm.....Tennessee Williams is my favorite playright; I loved Orpheus Descending, A Streetcar Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and the Glass Menagerie.
Heroes
I wouldn't exaclty say God is my greatest hero (even though that's what my profile has said since I created it) though, I will say that He has been a very large influence in my life. While I would like to say that God is the cornerstone of my life, I'm still trying to find my own answers right now. My sister is also a really big role model in my life. Jake, one of my closest friends, is one of the few people I would trust w/ my deepest, darkest secrets (not that I have any lol) :)

I'm originally from a little town kinda in the middle of nowhere called Fresno, CA. I graduated last spring on 06/06/06 ^_^ from Clovis West High. I'm finishing up my second year here at CSU, Sacramento and studying International Relations with sort of an emphasis in middle eastern politics and a minor in french linguistics. So what do hope to do with my life? I haven't the slightest idea =] But, I do know, eventually, I'd like to take over the world =] j/k (or am i?)

hahah yeah. for the next 2months we do, although parts of the holidays have to be spent studying so its not reaal holidays. but we do get 3 sets of 2weeks of holidays a year plus summer holidays. which is always good. butyess im so ready. i cant wait to finish hey. theres so much to look forward to this summer i just want to get out haha. haha yes. rottnest has the most amazing beaches. so i cant wait.
um wellll im gonna go straight to uni next year i think. i think after 3months of holidays ill be ready to get back into something. but i have a couple friends in canada im planning on going to visit in july next year during uni holidays, so that should be fun. ill get 2 summers and hardly any winter haha :D

shenanigans? hahah i wouldnt say that exactlyyy. well i had exams all this week and last. so thankgod theyr over. and then i have 2weeks of holidays. then 2weeks of school. then a week of study leaave. then another 3weeks of exams. then im donee. i have leavers then which is like a week in which everyone in yr12 goes either down south or to this island called rottnest which is about 30mins off the coast of perth. everyone just hangs out with friends and drinks and have parties and stuff so it should be goodd. im excited to finish :) but for now i have to get my ass back into study mode after iv just finished exams lol which is annoying. but its only a few weeks wasted for a lot more benefits. so i cant complain too much hey. butyeh so lately iv just been studying and before that having a few last gatherings with friends to have fun before exams. and noww hanging out with friends for a bit but i need to study soonish too lol :(

I believe it can be too much of the good, most of the summer it rains here, the sun can't be seen many times in the summer, though it's been better the last couple of years.

Hmm, i don't know how much public transportation you've got where you live. In Denmark there's only good public transportation in cities like Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg, that's to say bigger cities, where i live, there's only one bus in an hour Monday-Friday, and one bus every third hour Saturday and Sunday
it would make them more appealing to use because ur breaking a law and it would add some excitement?
yeah. im sure he goes to like the most extreme lengths wen hes illustrating how crazy american gun laws are. but still, its crazy that u would actually be allowed to do that anywhere. well yeah. but im sure there still were a lot of lives that were unnecessarily lost. im not saying the wars were completely without reason, but it just seems weird that the US government gives money for weaponry, and such and then they go and attack them wen they use the weapons in a way the US doesnt approve of.

like our school will tell people to not do TEE which are uni entrance subjects, if they dont think they'll pass or do well enough to get into uni. everyone that applies to uni gets in at my school. and everyone graduates.

yeah and parents get their views from the media. by the time someone is an adult they will have formed some of their own opinions and views that their parents have enforced in them. and those have probably come from their friends and the media. its like wen ur a teenager. i value different things to my parents and i dont agree with everything my parents see as important to the same extent. and its probably partially because of the media, which is bad. but its the way it is. i know from a baby ur not going to be influenced by the media. but as a teenager thats one of the major influences on ur values. the media just reinforces the values people want to see to sell products or get people to watch their shows. but they can do the opposite too and challenge values or endorse values that some people dont agree with. yeah. im not just blaming Foxnews. because obviously not everyone is influenced by them. but they are easy to pinpoint because there are heaps of things u can use as examples to illustrate how bias it is. none of the news channels hear are that obviously bias. they are, because like u said, they all are in ways. but not as obvious as something like Foxnews.

yeah i guess. but we dont have actual cameras like installed at a lot of places. or else people would just know not to speed in those particular areas, and speed everywhere else. so we have like portable speed cameras that they move around. usually hide them in the bushes so people dont know theyr there and dont think to not speed. effective enough i guess. i dunno. lol yeah. they should. it would probably help with that issue i guess. or else they could just paint a cross walk on the road and problem solved..
yeah but i guess some parents dont think about it. or it isnt on the forefront of their minds. so if they made something like it then it might help. just like bike riding, we had like a course u did called bike ed. where it was just like practising riding round the streets on the road and stuff. nobody really paid much attention, but i guess it at least drilled in the basics.

yeahh thats true. buut where does their family's opinions and perceptions of the world come from? mainly the media. like i guess people who raise children so politically bias, it would partially come from the area they live in, like how some southern states are insanely patriotic and pro-bush. but like a lot of their perceptions and views on the government would come from the media and news shows like fox news that only give viewers limited information for them to make their judgements on.

so were watching another documentary in media. its thee bowling for columbine one. u seen it? its really good. they had like footage of the shootings at the school and um michael moore interviewed all these people on gun control and um one of the Nichols brothers that was supposedly involved with the Oklahoma bombing. who, by the way looks completely crazy. and yeah like some of the things they say just make u think. like um how people accuse Marrylin Manson of being a huge influence over those kids at Columbines actions. and then he goes and talks to him and hes actually like really smart an
freshman, sophmore, senior, colleges, middle schools. that just confuses the hell out of me. i think our terms are much better. we have primary school, (1-7) highschool (8-12), uni, then we just use yr levels instead of branding people sophmores or freshmans or watever. then we have public and private schools. mines private.
wow lol u have soo many requirements. we just have like yr8-10 u do maths, science, english and social studies, which in yr8 and 9 is split into geography and history and yr10 is split into geog, history, economics and politics. u do a language prettymuch all through primary school then u have to learn one in yr8. then it becomes an option. u do sections of art, drama, media, music, cooking in yr8. then they become options after then. and then in yr11 u can prettymuch do watever u want. except u havee to do english. and science is broken up into chem, physics, human biol and biol. u just have to do at least 5 subjects in yr11 and 12. but its not a requirement that u pass anything in particular. except english iff u want to get into uni. but even then u can do a separate entrance exam i think if u fail by less than 5 or 10%.
yeah well like some kids dont pass here. my school prettymuch prides itself on having 100% graduating rate like every yr. and if they dont think u can get a good score in ur uni entrance exam, they encourage u not to do it at all because they dont want u to bring their averages down.

yeah, it doesnt sound like the safest place for kids to be walking to and from school. yeah i dont think its the kids or the drivers fault entirely. i guess the kids could be taught more about road safety, i know we learn alot about that and my parents used to drill it into me wen i first started walking to and from school. i guess that might help a bit but still u cant really alter a kid's mindset. and really, kids at that age dont really think about consequences like that.

so the test is like at the same standard as basic maths, science, english etc. so if they cant pass them, then they probably wouldnt pass the test. so wats the point in having the test if u can just base graduating on passing like maths, science, english etc?

haha no. 15 is a pretty poor effort. its about wat i got too tho. yeah wen im meant to be studying or even doing homework my mind wanders over like a million different topics. but like in tests and exams i can concentrate for the whole time and my mind wont wander at all. i guess its just like the whole working under pressure thing and i cant work efficiently if im not under immediate pressure.

yeah, its unfortunate that there are some kids out there that are forced to live those sorts of lifestyles. i guess theyr going one up from many third world countries where kids dont get any education at all.. but still, it must be frustrating seeing both extreme ends of the spectrum and like seeing the ignorance of some people. i know i get frustrated just hearing about it and seeing it on tv and stuff, let alone actually seeing it first hand. i know here there are a lot of aboriginal kids that live in really impoverished areas. its really disappointing seeing things like that wen u compare it to all the people who can afford anything they want.
