| General | good things | | Music | breakbeat techno jungle house electro dub ragga rock indie blues hip hop hardcore pop, same as for everyone - anything good, can't list it all. THE CLEANERS, KID BLUE, REFUNK, SNEAKY KREEPS and all related musical adventures by the extended family..i'm a founder of and resident at legendary leeds rave institution TECHNIQUE and now also run and play at the increasingly acclaimed SOCIAL breaks parties down in london alongside RICHIE BALBOA. over the years i've played all over the uk at all sorts of raves, venues and parties such as manchester insitutions tangled and tribal sessions, sheffield's legendary urban gorilla, technique's london residency at hum from 2003 - 2005, the first ever BLOC weekender last year and a whole load of other places and with a huge range of djs and producers from across the spectrum of underground dance music. i've also played abroad at the technique sonar parties in barcelona, at adam faz's bassinjekta in poland, the month-long kazantip rave festival on the black sea coast in ukraine, and dates at womb and air in tokyo opening for meat katie and koma & bones at mike mckenna's disco science parties. more recently i've been taking all this experience to use in concentrating on making my own badass tunes, with the NEW McQUEEN RELEASE on EDIT RECORDS, 'DON'T BE FOOLED' having just hit the shops and available NOW! check my tunes on my music page at www.myspace.com/alexmcqueenmusic....more on their way.....p.s. i am also a bioethicist | | Movies | back to the future | | Television | the news? | | Books | michel houellebecq's 'atomised' and 'the possibility of an island' if you're into stories about neo-human genetic future.
