Recently, the band got together and discussed the future of My Paper Camera. After a long discussion, Trevor opened up about his heart being pulled in a different direction to pursue music on his own. This was not an easy decision, but everyone in the band understood where Trevor was coming from. This band has been playing shows for nearly four years in various forms and has been such a huge part of all of the lives of its members. It's really hard to even think about saying good bye. However, one thing we thought was very important was to play one last show that will contain all of the songs that the current members know and have played in the past six months. The final show will be on January 17 at the Venue in Boise. Doors open at 6:30. This is one thing we feel very strongly about, throwing a thank you/farewell show to thank all of the many friends and fans that have been so supportive, generous, loving, and have been through the good and bad with us. It will be a free show, and all of our merch will hopefully be liquidated.
We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us out at home and on the road. It would have literally been impossible to exist without you. A very special thanks goes out to: our parents, Bonnie and Bob, Jan and Dave, Mark and Carla, Payton and Curtis, and Tim and Renee. Without all of your love, support, sacrifices, time, donations, advice, understanding, and travels, this band would have never survived. There are so many friends that have been so supportive, understanding, and encouraging in so many ways as well. Thank you. Specifically, we would like to thank: Momma and Poppa Eastman for lending their garage to us for so long, Evie Cole for night after night salvaging what we call our merch table and helping us stay alive, Jenny Ritchie(soon to be Rule) for letting us shake her house from the basement on countless mornings and nights, past members Clay Tucker, Matt Henrickson, Gary Burgin, and Matt Shockey, Mom and The Boise Venue, all the bands locally that we have shared the stage with, specifically our road mates and close friends We Won The Science Fair and Apple Horse, Jonathan Jones for all of his encouragement over the years, our friends Jeremy and Jamison of hopecore.com -who believed in us from the start and all the various favors they have done for us have meant so much. Thank you Katie Benton, Jeremy and Jason at Muse Labs, Sue from Fullsom, our second home in Monmouth and all of the amazing people there, Matt Jones, Dominic Sheldon, Ellen Haffner for all of the HARD work while managing us wierdos, all of the suporters that donated to help us get on the road and prayed for us continuously, Josiah James for being Josiah, Dan Wiedabeck for his donation, and to all of the fans that literally have carried this band and have had so much fun with us on countless nights.
Above all else this band would have never existed if not for our Lord and savior and how he has saved each of us individually from the fallen world we all live in and create each day. His love, grace, and hope that he has given each of us through a relationship with Him has been the single most important element in every member's personal life and ultimately in the band. We have strived to be all about expressing his love through all of our interactions and by being a light to help spread the love and hope that we have all found. His plan and truth transcends all and we are all so thankful that we have God during this uncertain time. We are so thankful for the opportunities He has given this band, and we will miss this so much. But we are all excited to see where God takes us on this next chapter in all of our lives.
