BIO:

Probably one of the most controversial bands ever, MYRA HINDLEY AND THE BABYSITTERS have crashed their way onto Falkirks live music scene and kicked up a huge storm along the way.

The Babysitters are a four piece punk band from Falkirk in Scotland, the band has been together for just over three years now and are showing no signs of holding back, their stage performances are full of energy and the crowds absolutly can't get enough of them! The band first got together in may 2005, It was thrown together rather quickly by Gillian and Jim who were itching to get back into playing live gigs.
Gill managed to persude her friend Junior, who's first instrument was also bass to pick up a guitar and come play alongside them, they then had a couple of jam's at the studio and put together a few songs whilst still looking for a drummer.
The search for a drummer didn't take long as Jamie who seems to be able to turn his hand to any instrument volunteered for the job.
The first gig "Myra Hindley and the Babysitters - in aid of Childline" although extremley controversial went down a treat with the crowd and raised a fair whack of cash for the charity

In January 2008, lead guitarist Junior decided to leave the band and become a guitar technician. The rest of the band were very sad to see him go but are glad that he is doing something he cares alot about and wish him all the best.
Following a brief moment of madness where the band played as a three piece, Juniors size 14's were quickly filled by Hoskie who started out as the bands roadie in 2007. Hoskie instantly breathed new life into the band and brought along a fresh new attititude towards their music.
In May 2008, drummer Jamie was replaced by Reg, who brought with him the drive and the commitment that the rest of the band were looking for to move on.

2009 will be the year of THE BABYSITTERS! So watch out for us coming to a town near you!

INDIVIDUAL BIOS:

SKINHEAD JIM:
The oldest yet not the wisest of the band,
I play guitar, a little bass and I can sing! lol.
In the band I play Rhythm Guitar and vocals, I also help write alot of the songs with Gill.
My influences are:
The Exploited, Total Chaos, Rancid, The pork Dukes, Slayer, Pantera, D.R.I., The Clash, Anti Knowhere Leauge and ABBA!
I like buckfast and Jack Daniels but not in the same glass.
I like my friends.
I like my family.
I love my wife.

GILLIAN:
I play Bass guitar, the fiddle, the irish whistle, a bit on the old guitar and I can sing too!
In the band I play bass and write.
Some of my influences are:
Rancid (Matt fucking Freeman IS god!), The Dwarves, The Exploited, Lars Fredrickson and the Bastartds, The Ramones, The Clash, Less than Jake, Apocalyptica, My Dying bride, Anti Flag................
Fuck, I could go on forever so i'm gonna stop that bit now!
Music is one of the very few things I care about and its what I dedicate most of my time to.
I created and run First Final Farewell Promotions.
I love going out and spending time with my friends.
