Reading stuff and travel. Loved London, loved Iraq, loved Jordan. Finished Hajj in 2007, and Medina will always have a part of my heart, but Saudi Arabia in general, meh. Ah, many loves, but I'll never tell.
Yeh, anyway. My Father's great grand mother was Lakota Sioux, So I like to read history about them, and I think from time to time on how this whole place was once covered with languages other than English. Speaking of English, my mother's family's travel from England is chronicled in a book titled, From Bloody Blokes to Damn Yankees. I'm in there! I've also written 3 books, albeit unpublished. Maybe some day I'll get around to that.

Hmmmm, well, almost all kinds. When no one is looking, I dance like no one is looking. I heretically enjoy a good beat, and for some reason in the winter I like to hear good instrumental music. I actually get nauseous when I hear rap music speaking ill of women and encouraging violence. We went to see Native Deen, Sami Yusuf, and Hamza Robertson in Dallas. What can I say about Native Deen? They speak to a culture saturated in glamorization of criminality and one that disrespects women, but they change the language and give it another spirit altogether. They beat the Rap beast! Sami Yusuf? Wow. I don't know how to describe his voice except for that it's a very good thing that he uses it in a manner of ibada. His voice is the butter on bread.
Wow. Michael.

Meh. Wif or wifout it. I do find myself thinking of Monk (Tony Shaloub) rather too often. Craig Ferguson is on every week night, and has my daughters in search of that perfect Scottish accent in a husband. Eddie Izzard is the best looking guy around in a dress. I admire the positions of Sean Penn, Rosie O'Donnell, and Matthew McConaughey. Nic Cage and Tom Hanks are great talents and I enjoy almost everything they do. You know, I really like Mr. Bean, too, come to think of it. And, I can't watch Tommy Tiernan while drinking anything, or it comes out my nose during the laugh. I know. Ew.

關於我: Long story short. Got 6 kids, 1 son, 5 daughters. Married 24 years to an Iraqi National. I'm an American Shia Muslima, who isn't interested in hearing "bida" this and "bida" that. If people are kind to me, I'm kind in return.

我想認識: I'd sometimes like to meet me in the past and tell myself in the low times that things haven't turned out so bad. My constant faith in God has never been a thing misplaced, even if my decisions could have been better. If for a fleeting moment I've felt hopeless, it was quickly pushed away for knowledge that I don't know what is ahead of me, and things have always had a way of working out the only way they should or could have. I embrace my mistakes as things that have shaped me into what I am today. With out them, I'd be a different me, and therefore, not me. Ponder that for a bit.
