Myriadsonix Began Sometime in the tail end of the nineties, built from the ashes of popular Leicester rock band Scream, Original members Gaf franks, (Bass) Pete Lakin (keys) and Benn Hartmann (Guitars) sought out Drummer Dave Sneath And vocalist Andrew Ferrie, once aboard the group Began composing the tunes heard here, after a hand full of shows (most noted being Demontfort Hall Leicester) we parted ways with vocalist Andy and found a replacement in the form of Benns childhood pal Stefan Elliott (now Known as Stevie Jules) and we continued to write and perform around the leicester circuit, Sadly after only a short while Dave Departed for a career overseas and Benn Moved to london to score a record deal with Punk Pop Band Johnny panic, In The seven years that followed Pete and Gaf continued to work together In the successful Rock act Double Cross, Gaf also enjoyed a stint with the band Ashdowne (featuring original Scream Guitarist Andy Kempin) And Metal heroes Balance of silence, Benn Eventually Parted ways with the band Johnny Panic for various personal reasons and hung up his guitar and settled in Kent, Years later, original Vocalist Andy Contacted each member of the band to arrange a reunion show at The halftime orange in Leicester, Drummer dave had since relocated back to the uk and had been working with Andy on a project called 'Tyler'.
Pete, Gaf, Dave, and Benn all agreed to meet and begin rehersals for a reunion show,
The band reunited at Andys House, lots of smiling, laughing and hugs later we set up our equiptment in Andys studio,
We blasted out a set of tunes, it felt to everyone that seven years might have well been yesterday!
The reunion show was a blast,
but not without its dramas...
Pete had health complications midway through the set and had to be rushed to hospital, The rest of the band defiantly played out the set and had a sucessfull gig,
Pete made an astounding recovery and we all decided to continue working together,
after a handful of gigs, we again parted ways with vocalist Andy.
The next few weeks where spent Tracking down Andys original replacement Stevie, Stevie had lived for a short while in kent with guitarist Benn, and they had remained good friends,
Stevie Rejoined the band and they relocated to VMS Studios to continue writing and gigging, After a run of poor shows ( due to lack of audience) the band separated to persue various projects, Gaf, Benn and Dave Continue to work together withe the band Useless wooden toys (www.myspace.com/uselesswoodentoysband) Pete has continued writing and Stevie is in the process of putting together Rockband Jnr Nitro, Andy and Benn Still Work together regularly on an Acoustic based Project they call 'Got Wood' (www.myspace.com/gotwoodmusic) This Site Has been created to honour the music the band created during their time together.
