HEY GUYS MY NEW RINGTONE IS HERE PLEASE CHECK IT OUT!
Sounds Like
Have been told: Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, Shakira. Let me know what you think and I will gladly write it here. I'm honored just to think I sound like anybody. Honestly, I just love to perform!
Girlie Action:
If the topic has been Latino music – and it has – then Myrna Cabello's Letting Go comes at the right time. Her sultry vocals pepper her originals with salty blues rock ("Drunk"), spicy bilingual offerings ("Un Dia," "River"), and tasty balladry ("Answers"). Better yet is Cabello's all-star support, including Ponty Bone, Reese Wynans, and Sly & the Family Stone saxman Jerry Martini.

“Recording with Myrna was like in the days at the record Plant in Sausalito Ca. with Sly and The Family Stone. It was serious, but had a family atmosphere. The music was great, everybody was totally professional [without being stuffy] I can't wait to do the next CD. – Much love to her.”
- Jerry Martini, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,
Sly and The Family Stone

Letting Go is the long awaited debut CD by Myrna, a native of the Live Music Capitol of the world Austin, Texas and was preceeded by attention around town. The Austin City Council recognized her by declaring “Myrna Day" in her honor. She was inducted into the Texas Music Museum. An article in the Austin American-Statesman Xlent Entertainment section described her as “one of the best Austin artists you’ve never heard of (but will).” The Austin Convention and Visitor's Bureau has chosen the track "Un Dia" for their yearly Latin compilation CD for 2009.
The incredible support from talented musicians that jumped on board to play on her debut CD, include: saxophone player Jerry Martini (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Sly and the Family Stone), keyboard player Reese Wynans (Double Trouble), accordion player Ponty Bone, bassist Glenn Fukanaga (Lloyd Maines, Joe Ely, Asleep at the Wheel), and drummer Hector Muñoz (Alejandro Escovedo), to name a few who perform on the new CD.

“It's a beautifully done record that rocks and is full of amazing surprises! You'll want to hear it again because of where these songs take you. They twist around you when you least expect it and grab a hold of you!”
- Glenn Fukanaga, bassist

"She is sure to be at the top of many "Best Of..." lists, after this CD is released, as she has a jubilant personality and incredible talents. I really enjoyed this recording session. You be the judge."
- Ponty Bone, Texas Accordion King

The album "Letting Go", consists of 10 original songs she co-produced and was mixed and mastered by Mark Hallman at the Congress House. It's a blend of blues, rock, soul and a splash of Latin.
Dramatic and addictive it makes you want to dance and takes you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions and sounds up until the final transformational song, “Answers,” which has the feel of a gospel church. You'll end up whistling the songs long after they are over. Myrna's vocals are passionate and strong, seductively drawing you into each song.
Thanks for the add! My name is Chris McKee and I'm a local artist from Austin, Texas just trying to get my name out! If you have time swing by and let me know what you think of my music!
Morrissey's gig at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon tonight has been halted after the former Smiths frontman collapsed on stage.
The Mancunian star opened the set with his classic song 'This Charming Man' and fell to the floor before he could begin his second. He was stretchered off the stage by medical staff.
It is yet to be announced if the concert has been cancelled or if he will return to the stage.
