SoundGreen: Born out of a love for music & the artists who create it. Realizing there had to be a better, perhaps more efficient compensation system, multiple iterations of "fair compensation" were contemplated, modeled and picked apart.
Focusing on incentives for artists to continually create new material, a working model has been chosen:
artists interacting directly with their fans in a subscription .
The artist develops an intimate knowledge of their patrons and visa versa.
SoundGreen leverages the relationships to benefit all parties of the community:
- -Working with fans to promote their favorite artist
- -Working with and on the behalf of artists to develop tours and license their music
Best of all... the artists are paid directly by their fans: further incentive for fans to help the community grow and flourish.
SoundGreen strives to payout at least 60% of all earnings to the creators of the art. Some companies claim 50/50, but it ends up closer to 30% for the artist. Others pay out once up front and get fat off all the creator's work, keeping in excess of 90% of payments collected.
We want to develop artists who live off their music, we don't want artists to be in debt to us! Just to prove it, we aim to give away in excess of $1.1 million in "bonuses" to our affiliated artists in the first two years. This is on top of an estimated $2.5 million in "regular" artist earnings.
Trust me, we hope we can give out more... the only limiting factor is the artists and their ability to connect with their fans.
