South Coast’s Jean Pickard and Don Truby take Americana music to the crossroads of bluegrass, blues, country and folk. Their songs are a varied collection of covers and originals filled with strong rhythms, tight vocal blends, and beautiful melodies.
South Coast has performed all over Southern California over the past 5 years; featured at the Oak Glenn Mountain Music Stage, Hesperia Days, Wrightwood Mountain Music Days, the Fireside and Camarillo Café Concert Series, and the Death Valley ‘49ers Encampment to name a few.
South Coast’s first CD, self titled South Coast, has been very well received. Now they are back in the studio working on CD number 2, "The Desert Wind":
“Your harmony is spot on. Good work! Can't wait to hear more.” - D. Folk Alley Open Mic.
“You can feel a true sense of warmth and kinship in this song. Don's words truly paint a wonderful picture. Harmonies and guitar parts are clean and crisp, which I love. You guys are amazing!” –R. Folk Alley Open Mic.

Hello everyone! Check out our new Myspace page featuring our new event group called All About The Music Productions. Our goal is to bring live music to the High Desert. Last month we hosted guitarist Pete Huttlinger, and this Friday we will have Jim & Anne Curry with their Tribute to the Music of John Denver.
Thanks for the note Lisette. We are doing well, but busy too. Summer is always filled with lots of things to do. We went on a 5 day horse pack trip to Bodie Ghost Town with our favorite western/cowboy singer Dave Stamey. What a great time! We also started a concert venue here at our local music store, Tom's Music. Last month we hosted guitarist Pete Huttlinger. He used to play with John Denver. This Friday we are hosting Jim Curry with his Tribute to the Music of John Denver. Good stuff!
Congrats on your novel, that is wonderful. Keep it up! Have a great day.
How have you been? How's the music? I haven't been on MySpace as much. Just been busy trying to get everything done. I published a second novel back in June and have been trying to diligently work on another one!
Thank you for adding me to your friends list and for your encouraging comments! I'll be listening to your new music as you add it! God bless! Sing from the heart!
"Music has always been a place where anything is possible - a refuge, a magical world where anyone can go, all kinds of people can come together, and anything can happen. We are limited only by our imagination. I believe that what we do and learn inside the world of music can affect what goes on in the world in a big, positive way. Music is so important - like food and water. There are so many possibilities, and many doors yet to opened." (Bill Frisell)
