The beautiful new studio album "Dreams and Distant Moonlight" is now available. Some sound bites here and more on the AD Music website where the CD can be pre-ordered. The album feature music that David has been working on for over a year and features Code Indigo guitarists Andy Lobban and Nigel Turner Heffer on some tracks. The album is a mixture of laid back chill out music and gently rhythmic instrumental music electronica that stylistically is a cross between his two best works, Walking with Ghosts and Continuum.
David Wright is the UK based keyboard player and composer who founded the AD Music label in 1989. Concentrating on melodic music that is often difficult to categorise because it crosses ambient, new age, world and electronic styles. David is also co-founder (with Robert Fox) of the ambient/electronic rock band Code Indigo and he collaborates with Dave Massey as the electronic music duo Callisto.
The music of David Wright is characterised as melodic and emotive, with atmospheric, ambient and ethereal traits, gently rhythmic and laced with classical, rock, jazz and cultural influences.
David Wright has released eighteen instrumental albums as a solo performer, and seven with Code Indigo and Callisto, establishing a strong reputation in Europe and the USA. He has also been involved as a musician, producer and engineer on many other albums through his own Planet Recording Studio.
..
His sound and style is original, so without actually sounding like any of them, reference points would be Kitaro, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield. An established live performer, he has appeared with, amongst others, Jonn Serrie and Klaus Schulze. His music is regularly featured on radio playlists worldwide and has featured on Sky, British TV and numerous international CD compilations. Most of David Wright's catalogue is published by Notting Hill Music.
David says, "I love music - it's my life and I'm lucky to be able to do what I love for a living. I've always composed and recorded music that is important to me - music with an emotional content, and I hope that 'emotion' connects to people who listen. Music is a spiritual experience that touches each of us in different ways - it is the language of emotion".
