Now, let's talk about the three ways you can leverage the MySpace Platform.
Application Platform
- Create engaging applications to reach millions of MySpace users.
Using OpenSocial, we are enabling developers to build their own applications on top of MySpace. With these OpenSocial apps, you have a wide range of fun and functional activities that build on the existing the MySpace user base and functionality.
Examples include: posting content to another user's Comments, playing multiplayer games, or even tossing virtual sheep at friends!
MySpaceID
- MySpace users can publish profile info to partner sites.
- Users can find their MySpace friends on a partner site.
- Publish partner site activities into MySpace
MySpaceID harnesses open standards to bring MySpace user information to your site. Implementing MySpaceID allows you to connect users with their Friends as well as connecting MySpace profile data on your site. In the future, you will even be able to publish activities from your site to MySpace.

- Find MySpace friends on a partner site
- Connect MySpace profile data to partner sites
- Register on partner sites using their MySpace URL
Post To MySpace
- Distribute partner content into MySpace.
Post To MySpace allows 3rd party content sites to instantly connect with millions of MySpacers!
By allowing users to post your site's content onto their MySpace profiles, viral sharing is just one click away. Just determine which content MySpace users can post to their profiles (video, photos, news stories, etc.), and apply a short snippet of code that posts an icon next to that content.
In the spotlight - Large Animal Games
Large Animal Games was founded in January of 2001 by partners Josh Welber and Wade Tinney in New York City. Since then, Josh and Wade have been lucky enough to build a incredibly talented and hard-working team. Our mission at Large Animal is to make games that are easy to learn and fun for all sorts of players, even those who don't really think of themselves as gamers.
Our social games on Myspace include:
Bumper Stars – An addictive mashup of pool and pinball with fun characters to collect and easy-to-learn gameplay.
Lucky Strike Lanes – The classiest bowling experience in existence is now available on MySpace. Care to show off your skills on the Information Super-Alley? Get Bowling!
Bananagrams – A fun and intelligent word creation game featuring real time multiplayer!
All of our social games run on our multi-platform framework Toga which makes full use of MySpace's social features and includes detailed leaderboards, microtransactions, and multiplayer in our games.
