Special Victim is a minimalist harsh industrial noise project. Inspired by the rhythmic elements of black industrial, the sonics and subject matter of power electronics, the desire to make something slow, heavy and percussive, and by popular prime-time child-rape entertainment programme Special Victims Unit, Unaesthetic started S.V. in early 2009. Four short, experimental E.P.s of live-improvised material followed quite quickly. Each was based on variations on a theme, both in sound and subject matter.
The first work, "Dogmatism" is the most traditionally rhythmic piece so far, its four tracks based on pounding, militaristic drums and metallic percussion enveloped in clouds of oppressive noise and reverb. The second release, "Unit", was a free-form noise/power electronics workout, almost free of rhythm. "MH/OB" is a more conceptual collection of tracks, with power electronic synths over dominating rhythms; this EP considers the dual themes of acting and imprisonment. The next output was "Mansfield", inspired by the death of blonde bombshell Jayne Mansfield, the urban legend surrounding her car crash and other curious circumstances at the time of her death. The sound follows on from "MH/OB" but with a little less focus on the pounding beats. "Mansfield" is a churning onslaught of rhythmic noise and intense screaming analogue synths.

Unaesthetic is now working on a full-length album, and is re-working some older concepts on the subject of Satanic Ritual Abuse.
