Ricca serata quella proposta dal Bronson di Ravenna in stile sperimentale “Trasmission”. Sì perché l’abbinamento live proposto offre gli olandesi zZz e una performance, più che concerto, del nuovo adepto Sunn O))) Oren Ambarchi“contro”Massimo Pupillo degli Zu. Insomma una serata con i fiocchi, che va dal rock alla sperimentazione pura. E dove Stereo:Fonica non poteva mancare! Gli zZz, come dicevamo sono un gruppo olandese, celebri intanto per la loro musica, poi per la pubblicità che la Fiat ha fatto ispirandosi ad il loro celebre video di “Grip”. Il effetti sia quella canzone che quel video furono molto ben realizzati, ma il sound degli zZz sicuramente non si limita ad un singolo di successo. La loro musica scuote l’apparato percettivo ed è composta da suoni del passato che ricordano i The Doors, soprattutto la voce del cantante Bjorn Ottenheim e l’elettronica, non quella tradizionale, ma quella manipolata in maniera “dirty”, sporca. Per fare un confronto, gli zZz potrebbero richiamare gli Electric 6, ma con una vena interpretativa indie più innovativa e bizzarra. Dal vivo dicono siano molto interessanti e dal grande impatto. L’altra proposta live comprende uno speciale live set di Oren Ambarchi (Nuova Zelanda), reduce dall’utlimo album dei Sunn O))) “Monoliths And Dimensions” (2009, Southern Lord) con Massimo Pupillo, bassista degli immensi Zu. Si presuppone che i due daranno vita ad un impro set elettronico/drone noise molto interessante. Ambarchi ha già collaborato con “esploratori sonici” come Christian Fennesz e Steve O’Malley dei Sunn O))) quindi in materia, dopo anche formidabili dischi solisti, è ormai abile compositore. Potremmo dire appunto che i fan dei Sunn O))), Zu, OM e Earth dovrebbero accorrere tutti. La serata è un collaborazione con Stereo:Fonica, che vi aspetterà lì pronti all’attacco sonico!
Gli Amari nascono nel 1996. Nascono dall’idea malsana di Pasta e Dariella di vedere cosa potevano ricavare dall’hip hop se lo tormentavano un po’. Con un campionatore e parecchio spleen adolescenziale, i due iniziano una gavetta fatta di cassettine e concerti: funziona e si fanno un po’ conoscere. Ma i due non ce la fanno ad accontentarsi, e introducono nella band Cero, bassista convinto di suonare il violino e recuperano il dj H.C.Rebel. Così, a quattro, ricominciano a fare altro. Ne viene fuori un miscuglio di rock, psichedelia, hip hop deviato il tutto spacciato per semplice rap. Vincono Arezzo Wave del 2000 e pubblicano su Riotmaker il frutto di questo anno di sound, “Corporali”: si scopre che dentro c’è l’elettronica e pure il postrock, ed un sacco di gastrite. Lo staff di Arezzo Wave decide di prenderli sotto la propria ala e li riporta in studio per pubblicare nuovo materiale. Il risultato vede luce nel 2002 ed ha il nome di “Apotheke”, nove brani con tanti tanti ritornelli. E oltre al rap spuntano le chitarre. E poi,come sempre, ancora concerti. E la banda non ce la fa più a sentirsi così sola: decide di chiamare altri amici sul palco e la formazione si allarga a 5 elementi. Molto indierock. Ma il rap? Torna nel 2003 nel loro album “Gamera”. Un miscuglio forsennato di qualsiasi cosa. Il disco ottiene un ottimo successo di critica e pubblico, alimentato da parecchie date in giro per lo stivale. A fine 2005: gli Amari pubblicano il disco che decreta la svolta della band: “Grand Master Mogol”, un insieme perfetto di melodie pop e sperimentazioni che piacciono tanto a gente magra con gli occhiali. Pubblico e stampa impazziscono per questo lavoro ed il tour di 100 date che lo segue. Si scomoda anche la Warner che ripubblica il disco ad un anno dalla sua uscita in una nuova versione, mentre ben 3 video tratti dall'album entrano in rotazione su Mtv. Nell'ottobre 2007 è il turno del disco degli Aamari intitolato “Scimmie d'Amore" (Riotmaker/Warner), vede il combo friulano cimentarsi con brani più pop e romantici che in passato ma strutturati ed arrangiati per essere hit di ogni dancefloor di rock alternativo che si rispetti. Il singolo apripista è “Le Gite Fuori Porta” che da il là ad un altro importante e riuscito ciclo disco/tour per gli Amari. Ottobre 2009, il giorno 16, esce il nuovissimo album degli Amari intolato "Poweri" (Riotmaker/Warner): metà in Italiano e in inglese è un'ulteriore passo in avanti per la band, che è già partita con il "Poweri Tour" pronta, come sempre, a fare ballare ed emozionare Amari styla! Giunti fino a noi quando lì aspetteremo live in Romagna, a Cesenatico (FC) dai ragazzi del RetroPop presso L’Oft. Un’occasione speciale di vivere il vero Amari style in versione esclusivamente dal vivo. Non perdeteli!
