MYSTERY ISLAND is an alternative publishing venue as well as an oasis for all things pop culture.
Interests include, but are not limited to:
comic books, pulps, vintage paperback novels, classic TV, science fiction/horror/fantasy films, hardboiled crime, toys of all kinds, punk rock, jazz, the blues, and lava lamps.
Mystery Island Publications is a pop culture alternative publishing house for limited edition books, both in print and on line. We recently published TOUGH COMPANY by singer/songwriter Tom Russell, featuring previously unpublished letters, pictures, and interviews with Charles Bukowski. This Sunday April 13 at 2PM it’s your chance to listen to one northern California’s hottest blues bands, the Volker Strifler Band blending his musical experiences into meaningful in your gut blues. Volker has honed his blues having toured the world with The Ford Blues Band, and also alongside Chris Cain and Robben Ford.
