"The Good Red Road" one who is walking the road of balance, living right and following the rules of the Creator.
One may be of any race and walk the Red Road. The Good Red Road is a path, a way of living. It's full meaning is the way one acts, the methods one uses, and what directs one's doing. There is more to the Red Road than spoken word or written words on paper. It is behavior, attitude, a way of living, a way of "doing" with reverence - of walking strong yet softly, so as not to harm or disturb other life. The Red Road is a pathway to truth, peace and harmony.
We must speak in one united voice to awaken the people of the world to the catastrophic consequences we face if we don't change the way we relate to each other and our Mother Earth.

Cherokee Prayer
As I walk the trail of life
in the fear of the wind and rain,
grant O Great Spirit
that I may always walk
like a man
Cherokee
Shadows of the Past
Cherokee towns standing silent in the sun.
Clear mountain streams,
Sweet and wholesome as they run.
Trees standing tall in Breath Givers sight.
Reaching up their arms,
In the early morning light.
The sun shines brightly off the temple mound at dawn.
My heart beats strong,
As I hear their powerful song.
The Shakers drive away,
All the fear, and doubt, and shame.
I know they see me here, and I know they're glad I came.
I see many things and the shadows that they cast.
And everywhere I turn,
I see Shadows Of The Past.
A lone rider moves cross the plains at close of day.
He gazes in my eyes,
And then slowly rides away.
Then I see the buffalo, and the giant prairie grass,
And everywhere I turn,
I see Shadows Of The Past.
I see the lodges pitched in a circle by the stream.
I see the peaceful people,
Live, and love, and hope, and dream.
I see many things and the shadows that they cast,
And everywhere I turn,
I see Shadows Of The Past.
I know they see me here, and I know they know my name,
And because of the shadows, I will never be the same.
I know in my heart,
All these things I have been shown,
And no matter where I am, I will never be alone.
I see all these things and the shadows that they cast.
The warrior knows that there are occasional pauses in the struggle. There is no point in forcing things; he must have patience and wait for the two sides to clash again. In the silence of battlefield, he listens to his heart beating. He notices that he is tense, that he is afraid. The warrior takes stock of his life; he makes sure that his sword is sharp, his heart satisfied, that faith still burns in his soul. He knows that maintenance is as important as action. There is always something not quite right. And the warrior takes advantage of those moments when time stops to equip himself better.
