I love all kinds of music, its expressive and tells a story. I love to immerse myself in music and be consumed by it.
I don't have that much time to be watching films, I like a bit of everything, mainly horror films, epics - battles etc LOTR, StarWars, Harry Potter, Braveheart etc etc I mean I would be sitting here all day trying to think of them all!

Awk I dunno I ain't that bothered about TV, I ain't a typical girl in the sense that I hate all that eastenders n corrie crap. I like murder mysteries, documentaries, history, period drama's, comedy etc etc

About me: Hi Everyone,
I'm Lauren. I help out at Railway Studios although I'm not much use at all that technical stuff lol but mainly I run and manage our newly launched record label - Rubidium Records. It is such an exciting project and I'm giving it everything I've got.
We have set the bar really high with the signing of our first band - R51, a fantastic, unique & talented young band who we are proud to work with.

Railway Studios is a fantastic modern studio based in Lisburn City Centre, it is home to an awesome producer, Mr Ross Cullen who has 10years experience in the business and makes true magic happen.
We are really excited at the moment because we have so many changes happening at the Studio and of course the new launch of the label. We are working hard to provide an all round service to take you from rehearsal to success. We are mainly a distribution label but will always be there to direct you and get in touch with appropriate promotion companies although we are always looking for ways we can better promote you and your music, trying to secure custom merch deals, radio airtime and music videos among many other things.
We are an open genre label because we want to celebrate all independant musical tastes and therefore appeal to a wide audience. We can not predict exactly what level of success we will receive but we will push to the bitter end because the NI music scene deserves to be recognised, we plan on going far, with deals in place with iTunes and play.com to name a few.
The label runs alongside Railway Studios and we will therefore only be considering bands/artists who have recorded at the studio. This is so that we can monitor progress, have regular sessions and get to know you and your unique style and gauge a package to best suit your needs. We want you to succeed in your career and we will do our very best to ensure that happens.
We will be very selective in our choice of artists as we want quality over quantity, we need dedicated and motived bands who have the drive for success along with outstanding musical talent.

Firstly, thanks for having us a friend! We really do appreciate it, it's a hard slog being an original band at the moment.
Secondly, do you, or anyone you know, like to play bass? And do you, or this person who you know who plays bass want to play bass in a gigging rock band?
The Hubris are recruiting. Mark is hanging up his plucking pinkies at the end of the year and we need to find someone who can do what he can do.
We're after a bassist who likes his/her rock music. We've been compared to loads of punk bands, old and modern. John from Bruised Fruit described our recent demo thusly: "This is class - really catchy. It's like the Jam meet Green Day meet The Clash and it's a three way explosion of awesome." (Thanks John - hope you don't mind us quoting that to death!)
What we're after is someone who's, well, who's good at playing bass really. Have good attitude, be willing to practise up to twice a week, and tear up every gig we get our mitts on. Ideally the ability to backing sing would be good. Songwriting optional.
We've played quite a few gigs since we started gigging in July, and we have more gigs booked into the future. As soon as we get someone on board we have the opportunity of a load more very soon. We were played on Feile FM a couple of weeks ago, listeners texted in and asked for an encore.
Loads of scope for you to take a songwriting role if you fancy, plus we're a very easygoing bunch of people who have a good laugh as well as work hard.
