Mystic Routes believes music is a medium through which people can be uplifted and educated. His journey to positive change and inspiration started in 2000 when he left his job as an accountant to become a student of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts' Music School.
It was at Edna Manley that he formed his own identity as a contemporary reggae singer/musician and met the industry players (such as Ibo Cooper, former keyboard player and band leader of Third World), who would mold his outlook on music in general. Through his affiliation with Ibo Cooper, Mystic Routes became the lead singer of the spin-off band for Third World known as Reggae Ambassadors in 2001, then went on to become lead singer for C-Sharp between 2002/2003.
Since leaving the school in 2003, Mystic Routes has gone on to work with some of the most influential persons in the music industry such as musician/producer, Dean Fraser; singer/producer/songwriter, Duane Stephenson; producer/songwriter Mikey Bennett and has done background vocals for recording artistes Tarrus Riley, Sizzla Kalonji and Anthony B as well as Teflon, Bob Andy and Luciano. In addition to this, he has also performed back-up vocals for Etana, Marcia Griffiths, Nadine Sutherland and Wayne Marshall to name a few. In 2007, Mystic Routes opened for Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica and Warrior King on their 3-week European summer tour.
