Rudimentary
Mystral Tide studio set up in Shibuya Tokyo consists
of Casio keyboard, PC and electric guitars. Experimental
recording begins as a result of alienation and a decade
of desire to create music alone. Early recordings
begin as rough midi sketches before a 400Mhz PC upgrade
allows real time audio recording.

CD "Moiety" released independently in Japan
and through the Internet, based on a progressive gothic
metal theme. The first versions of mystraltide.com
arrive online as the project begins local promotion
to events and fellow musicians.

CD released for very limited time in Japan and then

Ivan joins side project Trucido with a fellow astranged
foreigner in Tokyo: Adam Hauch. Debut live appearance
in Tokyo with Trucido. Adam and Ivan re-establish

Resulting
from the release of "Altercated" and promotion,
Mystral Tide is signed to Australian label Zeitgeist
Records after a period of negotiation, and contracted
for a CD release later in the year.

"Whirlpool
of Souls" CD released via Zeitgeist Records,
receiving positive reviews in print and online. New
Empire Online declares W.O.S album of the month leading
to international recognition and a relationship with
Sonic-X in Frankfurt Germany.

is officially released via a live performance in Tokyo
at CyberAgeVoodoo with Trucido.

Live
performance in Tokyo with guest Haj from Seij minus
a.. live at Wave Gotik
Treffen in Leipzig, and signs distribution contract
with SX based in Frankfurt. Adam Hauch (Trucido) and
Ivan begin regular DJ sessions at Tokyo club CyberAgeVoodoo.

back to the homeland.

Relocation
to Canberra Australia, studio is reconstructed and
G.O.L sessions continue in earnest, through a difficult
period of doubt and search for future direction.

Announcement
that G.O.L is to include live violin and possible
guest female vocals. Studio workhorse is finally upgraded
to 2.4Ghz after several years pushing a Gateway 400
to boiling point.

a year off, Mystral Tide returns and sets sights on
releasing a new 2 CD set Geometry of Loss late in 2006.
