With such a well assortment of Pop & R&B Divas gracing our radio and television waves, one would think how could there possibly be room for another? However, the moment you listen to the sweet, melodic tones of Syreeta ShaNee, you will quickly be swayed to agree there is undoubtedly room to be made for at least one more! It’s not often that you find passionate talent, fierce sex appeal and that girl next door charm combined into one stamped and ready package but that’s exactly what the songbird, Syreeta ShaNee’ brings to the table. At first glance Syreeta’s eyecatching exotic beauty is undeniable, however, after listening to her it is clear that she is much more than a pretty face and poses as a triple threat to the entertainment arena as a multi-talented singer, songwriter, and showstopper! Born Syreeta ShaNee’ Ziegler in small town, Muscle Shoals Alabama, Syreeta has been singing and performing since the tender age of five where she did one of her first solos at her kindergarten graduation. Her sound, has been influenced by artists such as Whitney Houston, Beyonce Knowles and Alicia Keys. Like her icons, Syreeta has a diverse range, a uniquely opaque, smooth tone, and a subtle vibrato. Her vocals have blossomed into a rare mix of light, melodic trills, with strong, thunderous soul which gives Syreeta’s voice a unique texture that reaches her audience. She uses her vocals as a malleable instrument to bring together the flavors of Pop, R&B, and Soul, mixed with the occasional up tempo Hip-Hop tracks to the table for a tasty, sassy vibe that is appreciated and adored by all. After relocating to Atlanta in 2005, Syreeta later teamed up with Lola Wax Records for the release of Independent Soul Divas : Independence Day album in 2008. The album, which can be purchased on Itunes, Amazon, and CDBaby to name a few, features her self-written debut “It is What It Is” which was co-written and produced by David Waehner of Waehner productions(credits include Trick Daddy, Trina, Sony, Universal). Independence Day is an eclectic collection of soul, neo-soul, soulful house, R&B (and the occasional pinch of crossover) featuring the best and brightest in the Global Soul Movement. Since the release, the Bama born Beauty has worked under the production of Euphonic Muzik (credits include two albums for Regina Belle) as well as Drummerboyz Club( credits include Ciara, Lloyd, E-40, Lil Jon, Trillville, and Lil Scrappy). Syreeta has also had the opportunity to collaborate in the studio with Lil Scrappy,T’Pain’s protégé, Young Cash of Nappy Boy, and Akon’s protégé Ray Lavender of Konvict Muzik as well as several independent artist collaborations. One of Syreeta’s most memorable performances to date was opening up for Marques Houston at the Foundation Room of the well known Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada during the Magic Show Convention of 2009. The studio has become a second home to Syreeta where she continues to work on her upcoming album featuring the sexy seductive track, “Afterplay”, and the sassy self written club banger, “Hollywood”. Although these tracks have already prematurely crept their way onto the DJ booths of several popular Atlanta nightclubs, it is herself proclaimed “SheMix” to Drake’s popular “Best I Ever Had” track that has been making noise and becoming the foundation of a newly planted fan base across the country. The song has been added to several DJ playlists including the “Red Carpet” mixtape hosted by Sean Kingston’s DJ Young Prezzy. After being the 1 most downloaded ringtone several weeks in a row on myxer.com, the song to date has reached over an overwhelming 260,000 downloads in less than 2months and counting! Under her current management team of JMC (which includes Ricardo Thornton, Elijah Polk and Raz B of the Grammy winning group B2k), Syreeta caught the attention of music vet Michael Campbell (credits include New Boyz, MC Lyte, WuTang Clan, Bobby Brown)of BrooklynWest records set to release her single AfterPlay(Remix) featuring Ray Lavender which will be distributed through Bungalo/Universal Music fall of 2009. With an undeniable splendor to the ears and eyes, packaged with a sweet humbleness only a southern “sweetheart” could bring, Syreeta could easily be crowned the best thing you NEVER heard-----YET ----- that is, but if you do listen, or when you listen, you will agree, Syreeta ShaNee’ is the new Songbird of Hip-Pop-N-B……..
