This is my effort to do something that I love--read and write. It all started out with my getting email excerpts of upcoming books after signing up on dearreader.com. I thought that was a great idea because you can test-drive a book before you go out and buy/borrow. So then I started my own blog very recently on blogger.com (my tattered pages) with my friend Nancy, who is probably the only person I know who reads more than I do. We intended to form a local and/or online bookclub where we would review/discuss different books. Of course, reading books often leads to other discussions and that would be ok too.
Also, I've had the idea that in the near future, I will get together with some friends and give books away to senior citizen homes/shelters/rehabs. I could also hold a book club meeting if they so wanted. But this is in the future. Those plans haven't been put into use yet.
My favorite type of books are mystery/thrillers especially the psycholgical thriller but I will read just about anything. I've recently gotten into urban literature too--Great!
