Anything that tells a story, even a rare rap ballad on occasion. I have to feel the story unfolding in the song.
Marillion, Loreena McKinnet, Cherish The Ladies, Aslan. I also enjoy music that promotes storytelling such as Tangerine Dream and the like.
Movies
Neverending Story, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (original), Hawk The Slayer, The Dark Crystal, Legend, Beastmaster, Lord of The Rings Trilogy. You get the idea.
Television
Obscure science fiction, with a particular love of British sci-fi (Tom Baker Dr. Who in particular). BBC programs such as The Cadfael Mysteries and Prime Suspect are favorites as well.
About me: I am an illustrator, as well as an avid fan of folklore, mythology, religion, history, fantasy and science fiction.
My work has appeared in a good many role-playing games and wargames. Role-Playing games are all fine and good, but ultimately restrictive towards the creative process (even moreso nowadays).
As an artist, I want to tell stories. I want fables, channeled through me and onto the page. For the deeper elements to be expressed through my labors and whims.

Hey Aaron, hope you're having a great day! Say, do you believe in God? If so, do you think it comes with a tangible science we can hope to understand one day, or should it remain a mystical concept? Also, how do feel about the odds of making contact with another intelligent species in the universe?
