About me:

When the sun is awake, I'm a sweet, mild-mannered writer in Jackson County Georgia with hopes, dreams, a wonderful wife, four cats, a daughter and a granddaughter in Indiana, more cool relatives in Orlando, Memphis and Portland, a yard to mow, random work as a grant writer and a contributing writer to a regional magazine, a 1997 Saturn, and a den full of books I wish I had more time to read. While the sun was up, I wrote the 2004 magical adventure novel The Sun Singer.

When the moon is awake, I'm a sarcastic, raucous writer who takes on the identity of my alter ego named Jock Stewart who views the world in the voice-over world of a hard-drinking 1940s, film-noir style newspaper reporter living in the imaginary, screwed up town of Junction City. While the moon was up, I wrote the recently released comedic thriller Jock Stewart and the Missing Sea of Fire.

Who I'd like to meet:

Novelists, real journalists, freelance writers, druids, alchemists, magicians, publishers who seek out strange novels, readers who find themselves in the characters in novels, people with a nasty sense of humor, residents in Tallahassee who remember my name with great affection, and anyone who's figured out how to see past the illusion.
