About me:

My pen name is Callen Damornen. My real name is Judi Clarke-Copeland. I am of a mixed racial background and proud of my Jamaican heritage.

I grew up in Chicago, Il, but moved around a lot after my Junior year in high school. Morgan Park HS was great, but also found a lot I liked in Smoky Hill, including a few unforgettable friends.

While Chicago will always be considered my hometown, I have developed quite a fondness for Nashville. The people here are wonderful. Pueblo was a nice place to be back in the mid-80s. I don't think I would ever do the Denver area again. I certainly would never do Memphis again, except for a visit.

I have 2 children, Catherine and Phillip. We currently live in Nashville TN.

I write stories and run several web sites: Arise Central, AAA Resources for Information and Entertainment, Callen Damornen's Official Site, Carefree Mall, Recipes, Song List, and Web Programmers Lounge. Please feel free to visit my web sites and visit the sponsors. Your help would be very much appreciated. It helps me out A LOT!!!

I am politically incorrect and speak my mind. If you hate to hear the truth because it might hurt, you may not care for me at times. I don't do it to hurt, but to help. I feel if I am less than honest about how I feel on any subject, I disrespect myself and everyone around me.

I am guilty of being weird. I'll admit it.

I also tend to write about my life experiences as openly as possible to help others who might be going through what I am going through so they will know they are not alone.

I have an extremely twisted sense of humor, so watch out! Even worse, I just got my driver's license at age 36 and I still can't drive very well, especially on the Interstate, at night or approaching darkness or in reverse...our poor car:-(

Religion

By most people's accounts, they might consider me an atheist/agnostic. On some levels, they would be correct. I do not believe in the mythical beings depicted in the Bible/ Qu'aran/Torah. I think that particular God is an intolerant extortionist. However, if that creature gives some people comfort and hope and I do not want to take it away from them so long as they don't force it upon me - spiritual versus religious.

I am a spiritually-centered. I believe in life. I believe in love. I believe in respect. I believe in live and let live and at the same time I believe in survival depending on people learning to get along with each other. I believe in the force of nature which is the most powerful god there is that started from the "big bang" in its ever so intricate and delicate balance to expand forth and bring what we know today into existence. It is so great it does not need anyone to bow down and worship it, it just does its thing and moves on no matter what you do. It is not a he or she, just a force of nature, not capable of taking sides or playing favorites. The more I study the less I believe in the Bible or God.

I believe religion is one of the most dangerous things on the planet. It is divisive and promotes the idea of all or nothing mentalities which lead to wars instead of talking over your differences and agreeing to disagree. Why should you care about the fate of the world and others in it when you are only looking forward to something you take on faith? Spiritual people, on the other hand, don't need a lot of rules and regulations and tend to treat others with the same love and respect they deserve.

My Book:

Kingdom Of Kerstan, available at Lulu Press, Barnes And Noble, Amazon.com and various bookstores.

School

I am a second year student at Rasmussen College online.

I am planning on obtaining a degree in web design along with an A+ Certification. No time like the present to get a piece of paper to tell the world I know what I'm doing:-) Besides, how on earth will I ever convince the kids to go to college if neither of their parents have a degree?

Maybe after all this schooling is done, I might just want to be a teacher.

Who I'd like to meet:

I like shiny, happy people:-) Really, I just have a thing for those who march to their own drummer...the off-beat and unusual people who do their own thing and are true to themselves. Did I happen to mention I am considered insane by certain authority figures:-)

I love people who proudly admit to loving songs that people declare as lame. If you love a song, sing it out loud - to hell with what anyone thinks!

Not looking for romance. Already have that and it is a pain in the butt most of the time, don't need any more of that kind of pain. Just looking for friends.

Not looking for business opportunities. Already have more than enough of that.

I am a quiet woman who speaks her mind and have strong opinions. If that frightens you, you may want to keep your distance.

My dad, what can I say, I am a true daddy's girl.

My mom. It took getting married and having children to really appreciate her.

My grandfather, even if he is no longer with us, he was a big influence in my life. Even when I was a kid, he never treated me like a dumb child, but as an equal with a brain. I really miss him.

My great-grandmother, who died when I was pregnant with my first child, taught me to look at life in a different way. I miss her even more.

My daughter, who was born 3 months early, showed me the importance of persistence and loving life.

My son, the joy and love in my life, he is quite the momma's boy.

My sisters Chris and Kat. I hope they know how special they are to me.

My cousin, Jason. He made a bad mistake and he is now paying for it, but he is holding his head up and keeping it together behind bars. I know he will continue to have the strength to make it through this ordeal.

My uncle John. He was a great man. I will always remember him by a song that depicted how he lived - Life Is Just For Living.

Cynthia. Although she never married my uncle, she will always be my aunt and close friend. What a special person she is!

All of my "adopted" children who have befriended my babies. You are all special in your own ways.

Cheers!!
