We started this Myspace because we saw lots of people running the rat-race treadmill without any idea how to get off!
When we changed our own lives for the better, we saw that we could also do the same for others! We created this site so that we could meet, network, and give back to other entrepreneurs by assisting them and inspiring them . . . helping them to discover a better alternative. But before we get into all of that . . . let us tell you a bit more about ourselves!
Who are Kent and Anne?
As husband and wife, we operate as business partners. We live in Sacramento, California, and we love getting outside and enjoying life. . . and that's everything from off-roading in our jeep to hiking, to photography, to hanging out at the beach with the kids. . . there is so much to see and to love and enjoy in this beautiful country of ours!
Before becoming online business owners, Anne was a full-time Mom, and, before that, an attorney, and Kent was management for a construction firm. Anne enjoyed what she did but Kent just tolerated his job. Our work did not allow us enough time for the other things we enjoyed, especially those things that involved our children. We just went about our business like so many other people--Kent working a 9-5 job, and Anne taking care of the kids and the household.
It wasn't a bad life by any stretch . . . BUT we realized that the hours of each day began to reflect less and less engaging in those activities that we REALLY wanted to spend our time on . . . and that something needed to change if we wanted to be really happy.
Our mindsets persistently told us that working for a paycheck was definitely not the best path to more free time and greater prosperity.
Frankly, it was quite a turn-around to come from where we were. . . to where we are now . . . but it's all because of our ability to believe in our dreams, and to take action. But we're not special . . . WE ALL have the ability to do that.
Look, our situation is not special. We had some of the same issues you may have right now: debt, not enough income to get ahead, and only a few precious hours to spend with family and friends.
But we decided to take action, and start designing our own lives the way WE wanted them to be--AND NOT the way the rest of the corporate world lived!
So What Does This Mean To Me?
See, we found ourselves in an "uncomfortable comfort zone." As strange as that phrase sounds, I am sure many of you can relate: We didn't much like the daily grind of the rat race, but it is the only thing we knew!
