Hey Weavervillians!

I'm Anne-Marie, and I publish a new website for Weaverville, North Carolina, www.myweaverville.com!

MyWeaverville.com is a blog and events calendar dedicated to letting anyone who lives in or is visiting Weaverville know what's happening here. It might be a sale at your favorite store, updates about the new Wal-Mart development, a new downtown festival, etc.

I started the site because the only way to find out what was happening in Weaverville was to look through page after page of event listings for Asheville, Black Mountain, Waynesville, etc. The last straw was when I saw a post in the Mountain Express or Citizen-Times (can't remember which) for a Book Club event in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. That's 2 hours away!!

As for me, I moved to Weaverville in 2002 from West Asheville, but I grew up in and spent most of my life in nearby Clyde. My WeaverVegas claim to fame is being one of Blue Mountain Pizza's 100,000th customers.
