I've had many influences over the years.... In the past 10 years Electronic music has had a significant impact on my life. There are so many artists and friends that have influenced me... Donald Glaude, Monk, John Shah, Jeff Heart, Taurus, Pauly, Angelo, Rob Gee, Macguyver, Skylab 2000, Alexander Adrock, Jason E, Mass, Sean O' Neil, and all my crew...and plenty of others...
Before I was exposed to electronic music, I was in a ska band. Later I joined a swing band as the lead singer and wrote many of the songs. Bieng a poet at a young age contributed to my songwriting ability. Punk music was also a strong influence on my life. I found myself hanging out with bands such as the Pietasters, Specials, Metro Stylee, Vodoo Glow Skulls, US Bombs (those guys are relly cool), and even met Rancid before I even graduated High School (actually I don't think I was even in high school when most of this happened). Bands I wish I met? I must say that it would have been nice to meet The Sex Pistols.... and John Lennon, but he died shortly before my time.
Art has also shaped my views. I love to paint and draw, and find that studying surrealism gives my mind new idea's about life....after all, everything is interconnected through the constant flow of energy.

Mz Buttakup performs live vocal sets, beautifully accompanying various DJs. She spins Trance and Disco-House, but is most known for her unique style of Dirty Disco-Funk laced with electro. she also Diva's by interacting with the crowd to ensure everyone has an unforgettable time. She has been spinning since 1998. In addition, she heads up her own production label, "Aurora Borealis" which has hosted some of the hottest parties in Pennslyvania, NJ, and MD. Mz Buttakup has performed at Fluid Nightclub in Philadelphia numerous times, was a resident dj at Tribecca Nightclub, Tragos, and the Hot Point in Philadelphia, Club Liquid in Allentown, and club Tru in Atlantic City, NJ. Other performances include Emerald City, Studio Six (AC), Club Exit (NYC), and various Electronic Music Festivals throughout the east. She has performed alongside artists such as Joey Beltram, Monk, Macguyver, Carlos Soulslinger, Jackie Christie, and many others.
