About mz.--Tim Lefebvre and Emily Zuzik
One day over a long recording session, NYC underground trouble makers Tim LeFebvre and Emily Zuzik decided to clean out their respective closets. What ensued was a collection of electronic compositions that delved into the deeper, the darker and the slightly divergent. Sometimes personal life chaos comes in handy...

Think deep industrial trip-hop drum loops, sexy purring vocals and ambiant textures painting tales of love lingering in the shadows, the places we go to and the ways out. mz. will take you there.

Members:

Emily Zuzik (Vox/Songwriter/Co-producer):

A proud Epiphone Guitars endorsed artist and 2005 calendar girl, Emily released her debut solo album, The Way it's Got to Be, in February 2003, which received praises from NYC's The Village Voice and Time Out, as well as Performing Songwriter Magazine's Top DIY Picks, November 2003. Emily has been featured in publications such as ICON Magazine, GO! NYC Magazine and Women Who Rock Magazine. Emily's song "That's the Way" was a semi-finalist in the JANE Magazine Readers compliation in 2004, and also appeared as one of IGN for Men's "Babe of the Day".

Emily has performed both solo and with many bands including acoustic roots rockers Sexfresh, Babes with Beats, the Burning Man phenomenon Funkmobile, 70s classic rock tribute group Southern Frost and San Francisco WAMMIE-awarded Shitty Shitty Band Band.

Most recently, Emily recorded her second album, You Had Me At Goodbye, with producer Joshua Kessler at Bushwick Studio (The Bravery, Erica Cashman) and planning a tour for the UK in Fall 2005.

Tim LeFebvre (bass, guitars, keyboards, programming, co-producing--all the stuff!):

Skip Herbertson (real name, Tim Lefebvre - SHHHH! Skip, just sounds better). One of the most skilled and sought after bass players in NY, Tim has made appearances in Saturday Night Live's house band over the last few years - his work has also been heard on The Apprentice, The Sopranos, Oceans 12, Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle, and Analyze That!. He was also the Musical Director/Leader on The Caroline Rhea Show on ABC. You can also, as a bonus, find his personalized ringtones at http://www.flycell.com/real-tones!

Excellent 2.0 version of Didn't fight fair. You added just a touch more 'woohoo' salt to that entree and it was tasty. Also loved the bass segway. Its a winner in my book.

Hello from Flying Space in London, :))

Man, this year is going fast.....help!!! LOL!

I like the style and thanks for being my friend. I just wanted to let you know my album, Aura, is now finally mastered and we have put a funky flash player on our myspace with the WHOLE album to check out as a preview (note: NOT the standard 4 song myspace one, look for the link at the top of the Bio). We're looking for honest feedback before it is released on running order.

Comments MOST welcome and always happy to return the favour. Keep in touch

Warm regards,

Timothy @ Flyingspace

That transition where the guitars come in and it goes from trip hop to just rock, sultry to upbeat supersonic. Holy shit. I've been playing Didn't fight fair non stop since you posted it. I want a download of it, s'il vous plait. Reminds me of NIN-Downward Spiral's song "Becomming" where Trent completely takes you in a Wow direction without warning. I got and still get that same chill when you transitioned. By the way, the cowboy woo-hoo at the end was so necessary. You should add a few extra seconds of that. Loving it. More "cowbell"! -D
