About me:

Greetings visitor, my name is Barry and I'm your typical nerd. I'm into everything you would expect, video games, anime, j-pop, and all that fun stuff.

That's not all there is to me though, I'm 23 years old and I'm in the Air Force. I spent 2 years at Spangdahlem AB, DE, and now I'm at Luke AFB, AZ. I'm a Senior Airman, and I'm anxiously awaiting the results of the Staff Sergeant test I took a few weeks ago, and honestly it scares the shit out of me. I'm an F-16 crew chief working in Phase Support right now, prior to that I was working in Dock 2. Before this I worked on the line in the 81st AMU crewing A-10s, it was a great assignment and I encourage anyone who wants to go there to do so.

In case you didn't notice, I'm a huge KISS fan. They're my favorite band of all time, and one of the biggest thrills of my life was getting to meet them in Germany. Hopefully the next leg of ALIVE 35 will roll through Phoenix so I can go see them at least one more time.

I love my video games. I'm a collector of old school goodness, I love fighters, I enjoy Resident Evil, and I can't get enough of rhythm games. I like to play Castlevania, Megaman, Mario, Zelda, and all those great classics as well as some you've most likely never heard of such as Crystalis and Clash at Demonhead. The pride of my old school gaming collection are my Zelda 1 & 2 gold carts and a boxed copy of Megaman 3.

I play all sorts of fighters, but I tend to lean toward CAPCOM fighters more. I like some SNK fighters, such as KOF and MOTW, and I love Guilty Gear, but my heart belongs to Street Fighter and the Vs. Series. I'm in love with Street Fighter 4 right now, its absolutely amazing. Everything about it flows so well, the characters look pretty even on my small SDTV, and it has a Street Fighter logo on it! Right now I'm torn on my main. I used both Akuma and Balrog to get my "Playing to Win!" achievement, I like them both but I don't know who to main. My Akuma isn't your average Akuma. There is much reason to every Hadouken I use, and much use to be had with his teleport. If you dont play smart, you will eat a Shun Goku Satsu. If you do play smart, I will set up a Shun Goku Satsu. If I don't land at least one, you're pretty exceptional, as I've been setting up Shun Goku Satsu's since 2001. As for Balrog, I'm still trying to break CvS2 habits of using my dash upper to beat you. I know I need to use the straight, its just easier said than done for me. His Buffalo Headbutt juggles are great, if you beat me down and jump, rest assured I'll juggle a Violent Buffalo after it. His jab is God incarnate, ridiculous priority for any move, much less a jab. I like his jab, expect c.lpX4->headbutt->ultra a lot. If we do some casual player matches, expect the whole cast to be used, not just my mains. If you decide to hit me up on X-Box Live, you'll see more variety out of me than the average Ken spammer. GT- Nifterific.

I had mentioned rhythm games in my games paragraph, but I figured they deserve their own. I'm into the obvious ones, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, between all those games I have a little over 50 Expert FCs. I'm also into DDR, and on home versions I have 85 PFCs, to include Afronova and Be Lovin'. Of course being into DDR into ITG as well, but not as much now as I used to be. I love IIDX, its incredibly fun, I just wish it wasn't so hard to be good at :p

As far as anime goes, I'm not your typical anime nerd. I don't think its good just because it comes from Japan, I have a relatively small list. DragonBall/Z/GT, Outlaw Star, Elfen Lied, Vampire Hunter D, Lupin 3rd, G Gundam, The Big O, and Death Note.
