N.E.M.O. (Nauchno-Elektronnoe Muzykalnoe Ob'edinenie) is the Musical Organisation of Electronic Research. Started in the late 90s as the independent union of Moscow composers. N.E.M.O. recorded several albums of the 80s-influenced retro music, peppered with break dance and aerobic tunes, and also some schizoid stuff of unclassifiable format. Bugged answering machines, broken synths, Soviet spoken word turntablism, plunderphonics & manic deprogramming.
