Joseph Berns (of Melodious Owl) making the beats and playing guitar, with Annika Kaplan's dynamic vocals with Michael Gaughan (of brother and sister, ICE-ROD) rapping and singing. THIS BAND IS performance troupe NOW!
NOW (pictured), Michael Gaughan's new non-Brother and Sister band, which combines the sleazy electro-pop know-how of Joseph Berns (Melodious Owl), newcomer Annika Kaplan's cocksure vocals, and rhymes from Gaughan (a.k.a. Icerod). It also involves some weird feats of strength and flexibility. The trio hang upside-down, sit on shoulders, and stand on backs, all while singing about "curfew and truancy, perfume and jewelry." The execution is a little shakylike that of kids trying to emulate their first Cirque du Soleil showbut it's got potential. -by Lindsey Thomas

If you didn't vote yet, please consider doing so now to help us win $10K to build a new series of free web tools to serve the performing arts. Below is a link to a blurb describing our idea - if you have a context to share this with others, we would greatly appreciate it.
