Stock Film Footage
It was recently brought up that it would be nice to have some stock footage that is useable for NIFP members. We don't have any at this time...but if you do we would love to be a recipient of your stock footage donation! Then our members can share stock footage, all mediums will be accepted.
Books
Can't afford film school? Can't afford all those books and videos that teach you either? Well abandon all your fears! NIFP is currently building an independent filmmakers dream library. NIFP members have voted and we will be purchasing some videos, CD-Roms, and books that members can check out and learn! Any donations of video, books or other teaching mediums will be accepted!

About me: NIFP was created and received a 501(c)3 status in 1991 as an educational and fiscal support group for Nebraska filmmakers. Since then we continue to provide educational opportunities to our members through guest speakers during our monthly meetings and special seminars that address subjects from screen writing to entertainment law. NIFP is also a member of NAMAC, www.namac.org, a national organization that is committed to furthering the media arts.
NIFP meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 6pm at the Mary Reipma Ross theatre in the Film library on the UNL campus. The meetings are open to everyone,so come and bring a friend.
Our membership consists of indie filmmakers, photographers, and so on.
On odd numbered years, the NIFP hosts Mad Movie Night. This is an evening of fun where everyone can bring something they have shot or edited and see it on the big screen. Even numbered years NIFP hosts the Middle of Nowhere Film Festival. This fest showcases the short film with awards given at the end of the evening. Stay tuned for rules for 2008...
