Naadir - Bio

Cominciamo dal solito e più che umido garage.
Anno 1999, Salerno, nascono i Naadir. I ragazzi appena sedicenni iniziano a muovere i primi passi verso la passione che li legherà insieme ad una grande amicizia. Cosi incidono immediatamente un demo tape dal sapore punk.
Nel 2006 si cimentano nella creazione di sonorità funk, rock ed hardcore, alternando distorsioni massicce a ballad rock e a funky malvagi, segno anche di una più matura crescita artistica del gruppo. Alla fine dello stesso anno registrano la demo “Synapticollapse”. Inizia un’intensa attività live.
Il 08/06/2007 vincono il premio come “Miglior gruppo” al “Sud Rock Festival 2007”, svoltosi nella Piazza Mercato a Curti (CE).
Il 08/07/2007 si classificano al primo posto al “Liternum Rock Festival 2007”, svoltosi nello stadio comunale di Villa Literno (CE).
Il 16/09/2007 partecipano alla finale del “Caserta Rock Fest 2007”, suonando in apertura ad artisti come Verdena, DDR e Apres la Classe.
Il 22/12/2007 si classificano al primo posto all’ “Headbanger Rock Festival 2007” svoltosi nel club “La Duna” a Mondragone vincendo due giorni di registrazione in uno degli studi di registrazione più grandi del centro-sud, il Niski Studio a Frosinone.
Il 06/03/2008 si posizionano al primo posto al “Bad Habit Festival 2008”, contest ospitato dal locale Bad Habit a Caserta, e che ha visto la partecipazione di oltre 50 band regionali. I Naadir si aggiudicano inoltre i premi speciali di “Miglior Bassista”, “Miglior Chitarrista” e “Miglior Voce” del contest.
Il 28/03/08 sono tra i sei gruppi finalisti, su oltre 96 gruppi iscritti, ad esibirsi alle finali regionali di Italia Wave.
Il 11/04/08 i Naadir si aggiudicano il primo posto al concorso nazionale "PROVE DI ROCK 2008". Questa volta il quartetto salernitano ottiene l'accesso al circuito discografico del MEI di Faenza.

Naadir – English Bio.

“Naadir” came to life in 1999 in Salerno (southern Italy) when four sixteen-year-olds, Diego, Emilio, Stefano and Fabio, set themselves up in a typical and decidedly damp garage and started churning out their first punk-flavoured tracks. In those formative years the boys, aware that the recordings they were making lacked maturity and were heavily influenced by other bands, worked hard on creating and maturing their own sound: a mixture of funk, rock and hardcore, alternating massive distortions with rock ballads and wicked funk.
“Naadir” do not claim to be breaking new ground in the world of music, but they do tend to avoid genre labelling. They consider themselves part of a movement of bands that is trying to do something undefined and unpredictable with music, strong in the conviction that all art forms have to be a creative reaction to life and not simply a blind following of fashion.
This attitude is more than evident in the group’s demo CD “Synapticollapse” which came out at the end of 2006. Since then the group has concentrated its energy on playing live and has taken part in numerous events and competitions, winning on a number of occasions including, most recently, the “Prove di Rock 2008” competition in Salerno.
Although obviouly proud of these recent achievements, “Naadir” have their eyes set on the future: well aware that the road ahead is long and firmly convinced that it is full of even greater potential.
