Ok where shall I start? I'll try and keep this short. My name is Kat Ellis, a lot of you Myspazzers will know me from my time in the Fox, but for those who don’t here’s some info on what the NACC Rock 4 Charity event is all about. Crohns disease is condition caused by the immune system attacking the gastrointestinal tract causing inflammation. Symptoms vary from person to person but may include serve abdominal pain, ulcers, diarrhoea, vomiting, and blood loss. 1 in every 1500 people have the disease. I was diagnosed with crohns disease at the age of 12. Since then I’ve experienced plenty of ups and downs. Countless days in hospital, blood transfusions, drips, colonoscopies , barrier mills, and literally thousands of blood tests which I never get used too! I was even a bald chick at one point when I lost my hair due to alopecia caused by the stress of a very severe attack. I set up Nacc rock 4 charity with the aim of combining my love of live music, with events that would raise awareness and funds for research and treatment of this often over looked illness. And of course to rock out and have a good time! Our next event will be announced very soon, so if anyone would like to get involved or just lend a helping hand then drop me and message.
