New York City singer-songwriter Nadine Goellner has been winning over audiences with her unique acoustic-driven blend of scat, soul and jazz. Her debut album, Remember My Name, earned Nadine comparisons to such esteemed artists as Norah Jones for her jazz-infused sound, Edie Brickell for her thoughtful songwriting, and Chaka Khan and Christina Aguilera for her soulful voice and dynamic range. Her follow-up, Sing It to Me Anyway, was hailed by fans, radio listeners, and critics as “one of the strongest indie releases of 2004” (All Music Guide). Nadine also released a LIVE EP in 2006. Recorded at a sold-out concert at NYC hotspot Mo Pitkin’s, the album features Nadine with bandmates Anna Dagmar on piano, Bob Hart on bass, and Allison Miller on drums. The energy and spirit of Nadine’s live shows as caught on this CD show why her audience is fast-growing and why her “folk-jazz-scat cross-pollinations have earned raves galore” (Time Out New York). www.nadineg.com
Are you Celebrating Brooklyn this summer? I wanted to catch Ribot but I ended up working late. I'm dropping off the grid for the month of July, but let's make a plan to connect in August. I'm thinking of heading up to Woodstock to visit Eric & Catherine, maybe catch the Midnight Rambles at Levon Helm's. Come along! Hope you are swell. Miss you, gurl. Any gigs coming up?
Hey Nadine, thanks so very much for the add. WOW, your jazzy voice and music are really COOOOOOOOOOOOL! Keep on this way, girl :-) Happy to have found you on the cyberspace. Take care. Ciao from Italy cristina
Nadine, I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your album "Sing it to me Anyway." Most nights, I put it on so I enjoy your music while I fall asleep. Are you still coming to The Stanhope House or has that trip been completely canceled? Sure would like to see you live.
Hey Nadine! When are you playing the Stanhope House now? I saw that it was postponed, but couldn't tell when you had rescheduled. That place is just down the street from me, so I'm psyched to see ya!
Hey there Nadine, really liking 'Ain't nothing better' an 'Three days' - great lyrics, beautiful voice! Compliments to the crew too! Cheers, Fourth Axis
