We are NAGACULT, a heavy metal four piece band based from New Haven, CT performing aggressive hardcore/heavy metal music. In mid 2007 we finished and mastered our debut self-titled NAGACULT seven song EP for our audiences enjoyment and in hopes for record label attention to spread our music to even wider audiences. Described by the New Haven Advocate as "Thick, bruising and dark as an oil-soaked harbor seal" and "in seven songs they deliver a metric shit-ton of metal", we seek to make an impact on the face of metal and book as many shows everywhere and anywhere in a move towards national and global market interest and attention. The band name 'NAGACULT' comes from references both old and new, of ancient India's philosophies to scientific ideas of DNA and our earthly futures. We've graced the stages of many historic Connecticut venues such as Toads Place of New Haven, CT and The Webster Theater of Hartford, CT many times to name a few. Collectively as musicians we draw on influences including, but not limited to, Ministry, Type O Negative, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Alice in Chains, Tool, Hatebreed, Pantera, Skinny Puppy... to go would take too long. We've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many up and coming bands such as Brooklyn's My uncle The Wolf and Brooklyn's Inswarm, Virginia's Fjord, punk rock legends New Haven's own Broken as well as Suicide City (feat. ex-members of Biohazard and Kittie). In November 2007, a half year into forming NAGACULT, 106.9 FM WCCC featured NAGACULT on their Homegrown Show for a week to a great reception and have continued to do so, as well as 88.7 FM WNHU's Saturday night metalfest. We as NAGACULT seek to perform our unique brand of metal for as many people as possible, whenever and wherever possible. We will continue to write more and more seriously heavy music, we will be performing live all the time, and we will strive to expand our sound and music everywhere!!!
